Bentall 5 is a reinforced concrete building with a post-tensioned concrete floor system and an aluminum framed dual glazed curtain wall.

Punch-out floor panels are designed into the concrete floor system to enable internal stairwell connections. The punch-out panels are located adjacent the elevator lobby.

Floor Loading Capacity
Typical office areas on the second, third and fourth floors are designed to support a live load capacity of 100 pounds per square foot. Typical office areas on the fifth floor and higher are designed to support a live load capacity of 65 pounds per square foot.  Certain areas adjacent to the central core on all floors are designed to support a higher live load capacity for uses such as tenant filing, storage and UPS facilities.

Retail areas on the main floor are designed to support a live load capacity of 250 pounds per square foot.

 
     
  Seismic Capacity
Bentall 5 is seismically designed in accordance with all applicable municipal codes as at 2001.
